In the United Kingdom, things are a little different. Mothers are called “mums”, in- home caregivers are called “carers”, and drivers take the wheel from the right! But as you will see in this video, we share a common concern for persons with dementia. This video is from a U.K. campaign of the Alzheimer’s Society, and highlights 5 things families and caregivers can do to remember and cherish the person-hood of the loved one with dementia. The values expressed by the speakers are resonant with the guiding values of Cascade Companion Care, and underscore the important triad of family members, caregivers, and the person with dementia, all working together in life-affirming daily practices.
